The Cégep du Vieux Montréal

The Cégep du Vieux Montréal is located near the BRiX and is one of its original partners. This teaching establishment, which enjoys a great reputation in the visual arts community, is in the heart of the Latin Quarter district, very close to several art galleries, to the Musée d’Art contemporain, to the Grande Bibliothèque, to UQAM and to Place des Arts, to name a few sites that are sources of inspiration for its students. The students are also taught by talented artists, who are active in the visual arts community. These mentors deliver their knowledge and know-how in an inspiring workspace that has a panoramic view of Montreal. Students can exhibit their works in two galleries at the Cégep. The spaces and walls of the BRiX are also open to works produced by the students. as well as by the teachers, creating in this way, a key site for emerging art.
